Who We Are
Balineum founder Sarah Watson moved to London from New York in 2006. After struggling to find a stylish shower curtain to suit her bathroom, she decided to start designing them herself, and with the help of textile designer Gail Bryson, Balineum's first range of shower curtains were born - a selection of curtains in beautiful natural fabrics to lend a sophisticated feel and luxurious look to any bathroom.

From shower curtains, we turned our attention to towels and Balineum soon grew to embrace the entire bathroom. In the UK, Sarah struggled to find the same quality of thick, luxurious towels she had loved in the US. So Balineum began to make them. These are our 820 Anatolia towels: woven to a weight of 820 grams of cotton per square metre, they are the highest-weight towels in Europe. Our range continues to expand and we've recently added Syrie, our linen-style towels, and the gorgeous bathmat, Braga.

We are passionate about beautiful bathrooms, so much so that we named ourselves after the Latin word for bathhouse. Our aim is to bring impeccable style to every bathroom.

All of our products are designed and sourced exclusively by us. We work with the world's best manufacturers to bring you quality materials and excellent craftsmanship.

Over time we will continue to expand to bring you all the accessories you need to transform your bathroom. Some of the new products we're working on include some new towels colours, small accessories and containers, and a linen toweling range.
