Florentine Flourishes
Colour sets an inviting tone in this Florentine kitchen, designed by Tuscan interiors firm Riccardo Barthel for a private client. The palette of warm blues and earthy reds is enlivened by gleaming metallic accents, including our cabinet hardware, handcrafted in Italy.
Finished in polished nickel, the range of solid brass pulls and knobs lends an elevated feel to the kitchen’s touch points and echoes the stainless steel vent and hob. The look is a modern counterpoint to the antique tiled backsplash, sourced from southern Italy, which calls to mind our Series S Italian Decorative Tiles.
Duck-egg blue cabinetry picks up the pattern’s softer tones, while burgundy accents in the ceiling and a custom-painted hood, draw the eye up. Worktops in Carrara marble (typical of Tuscany) further connect the scheme and create a visual resting point.
