Victorian Townhouse Bathroom
We often get asked about this Notting Hill bathroom, which Orla Read designed using our Series S Italian Decorative tiles along with sanitaryware from Drummonds.
To create the striped effect, Read commissioned our 'Diagonale' pattern in a split colourway of off-white and green (#631), then installed them on an angle, rather than alternating solid coloured tiles. We love the way the grout lines contrast with our hand-painted brushstrokes, adding liveliness and depth to this cosy cocoon of a shower.
As she told Homes & Gardens magazine, “The key was to create some drama without making the bathroom feel busy,” noting that the subtle movement in the brushstrokes keeps the pattern from appearing flat.

Drummonds' fittings add to that sophistication, grounding the space in a warm Antique Brass finish that balances the coolness of the emerald accents.
Shown here are the Dalby showers, Coll and Mull mixers, floor mounted towel rails, Double Taw vanity basin, and Swale cast iron tub with ball & claw feet.
