“We wanted the dining room to have its own distinct identity and a real sense of occasion. While the house is quintessentially British in its bones, this felt like the right space to break from tradition and introduce something unexpected,” says Phoebe.

Outfitting the floor with our hand-painted Series S Italian Decorative Tiles, in the Maratea pattern in 20cm Squares, had a knock-on effect, guiding the palette for the furnishings in the rest of the room. Warm wood tones, a vibrant blue sideboard and antique upholstery were all chosen to complement the spirited atmosphere.

Adding another decorative layer, Phoebe lined the original inglenook with our Series S Felce pattern in 15cm Squares. “The fireplace is grand, historic and incredibly beautiful — it deserved its own moment. The trellis tile is slightly more restrained in both tone and pattern, which helps frame the fireplace and create contrast against the intricate detailing on the floor,” she notes.
