Immersive Blue Glass Mosaic Bath

When The Water Monopoly opened its new London showroom in Willesden Green, after nearly 30 years in Queen’s Park, we were delighted to celebrate the milestone by supplying our Glass Tiles for one of a series of product vignettes designed by Studio Bastien.

Inspired by an Art Deco gymnasium, this space features our 5cm Mosaic in Pale Blue (B224) as a backdrop to The Water Monopoly’s Rockwell basin and lavatory. Shown here in white, the ceramics collection has become a favourite among interior designers for its vintage-style fixtures and fittings, which are also available in yellow, blue, green and grey.

Upon completing the vignette, Bastien nodded to our own inspiration for the Glass Tiles collection — David Hockney’s 1976 photograph of his muse, Peter Schlessinger, standing in a blue tile-clad bathroom. There and here, the combination of crisp white, cool blue and slivery nickel creates a fresh, invigorating scheme.

Glass mosaic tiles are hand assembled by our European maker. Each 48mm tile is supplied as a grid of 36 tiles and held together with a thin clear sheet that is removed after install.
